Great question! We are actually writing a facebook/myspace game e-book right now. I've been experimenting with it for about 6 months.

there are a couple of things that are very important in online game
1)strong initial disqualifier buffered by a compliment
Ex) ohhh no, you like Harry Potter! that's so nerdy, I love it!!!

2) embed status, attractive qualities in your writing without bragging
ex) yea If I could back to any place, I'd go back to Prague. It's so beautiful and the culture is amazing

3) always ask related questions at the end of each message ...but precede messages with an IOI/compliment- ex) you seem like an adventurous girl! Wheres the craziest place you have ever traveled?

4) number close before you start lose emotional momentum..and do so with authority

have you met the target in person yet?

if so the main purpose of using the internet, e-mails, and texting is really just to remind her that you are a fun guy and keep her thinking about you till you get a day 2.

example. send an IM saying "Kablam! pow!" (totoally random but you'll get a response always) then talk to her for a little bit and let the thread die. just log off without saying a word. (communicates un-neediness)

later call her. run phone game. get a day two.
